Connected Worlds - Halloween Edition
Connected Worlds is a grid deduction puzzle, made solo in five days for a personal jam on the theme "Connected Worlds" (Ludum Dare 30), released on Halloween eve.
Lettered pumpkins sit on the grid. Draw the one path that links them in letter order: from A to B, then C, up to the last one. The path never touches itself: no branch, no loop, no 2×2 block. The numbers along the edges give how many corridor cells each row and column holds, pumpkins included. Probes (ringed cells) count the corridor cells among their eight neighbours.
Each series chains three grids, 5×5, 7×7 then 9×9, generated on the fly and always solvable by pure deduction: none of them requires guessing. This is enforced by the generator: a grid is kept only if a solver using nothing but the visible rules reaches the full path on its own. Cells that break a rule get a red outline; a satisfied probe turns green.
Left click: corridor. Right click: cross. Original music.
